This gaiwan is made of 100% New Zealand clay and glazed with a thin layer of wood ash glaze. The ash used in glaze was sourced during a hiking trip in Arthur’s Pass.
This beautiful thin walled gaiwan keeps heat really well and is a great choice for pu-erh tea.
Glazed inside it can safely be used with different types of tea.
